These brownies are not like the others. These are so chocolatey, soft, gooey and are topped with a crunchy and sweet almond layer. So simple and easy to make, healthy, vegan, refined sugar free and gluten free.
Hello guys, so here’s my recipe for some vegan brownies… I know there are a lot of recipes out there, but you know.. yo girl always wants to create her own recipe… and YES, I did it again… THESE ARE ABSOLUTELY BOMB!
SO, if you know me, you’d know that I am not a fan of chocolate, and that’s why I wanted to create an almond layer on the top to soften the chocolate flavor while keep these brownies very chocolatey… I know it doesn’t make any sense like this, but just trust me. Try them yourself and you will understand what I am meaning.
1/3 cup maple syrup OR date paste
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/3 cup cacao (no sweetened)
2 - 3 rows of dark vegan chocolate
1 tbs melted coconut oil
1 pinch salt
1/4 cup water
Almond top layer:
1/3 cup almond flour
1/4 cup maple syrup
Preheat the oven to 200-250 °C.
Put all the brownies ingredients (apart from 3 rows of chocolate) into a bowl and mix well. The dough should be quite sticky and not too running.
Cut the rows of chocolate into medium chunks and add them to the mix. Stir.
Pour the brownies dough into a baking tray.
Mix the almond flour and the maple syrup together and put the mixture on top of the brownies.
Put everything in the middle rack of the oven and let them cook for a good 15 minutes. After that check them and put them on the lower reck of the oven, because the top layer should already be crispy and golden brown. Let them cook for another 15 minutes.
At this point the brownies should be ready. Mine were really soft and gooey on the inside but crunchy on the outside. The top layer was golden brown, really crunchy.
Allow them to cool down completely before cutting them into slices.
My fave part: EAT THEM AND ENJOY :)
